Weekend in Dallas

I went up to Dallas a couple of weeks ago for Brandie's baby shower. A big storm hit as we got into town, luckily I was already on W.D. Tate. Mom was on the highway and hydroplaned. Poor thing was shaking for an hour after that. We all went shopping at the resale store, made Brandie a diaper cake and went to the shower. When we got home Mom, Angie & I cut down part of a tree that had split and was blocking her driveway. We looked at pictures Saturday night, it was so much fun looking back over the years. We should really get together more often.

Way of Life

I've become a coupon fanatic! I look at all of these websites, print coupons, collect the Sunday paper, pick up extra coupon books from the recycling center and my co-workers bring me their extra coupons too. Since we're all watching our wallets more these days I'm going to start documenting all of the lovely ways you can save some money!

Peelies - coupons found on the package

Rain Check or RC - When store is out of an item, they will give you a paper with the sale price and when they restock, you can take advantage of it!

CRT - Cash register tape - coupons to use at CVS, target, etc.

Catalina or CAT - machine that spits out coupons, usually at grocery store

Overage - When coupons make you go negative

RR - Register Rewards at Walgreens

BOGO- Buy 1 get 1 free

BOGO1/2- Buy one get one 1/2 price

Kris decided to join a jalapeno eating contest.

Before the contest.

During the contest...trying to convince himself he should eat another.

In the end, he ate 17 jalapenos!! Next year he'll try hotdogs.

Girls Weekend

This weekend I road up to Dallas/Ft. Worth with my friend Alison. I spent the weekend with Angie & Meg, picture included, don't we look good!!! Had a great time shopping, going out and spending time with these two beautiful ladies. Was also able to squeeze in dinner with my girl Tamisha. Thanks for the great weekend. Love you!

** side note ** Can someone please give me a lesson on how to put up wood blinds? We tried and were sucessful..but it took us over an hour on one blind. 13 more to go. UGH.
